CS Manshi Gupta, President of ICSI, unveiled this initiative during a press conference at NALSAR University in Shamirpet, emphasizing its significance as a platform uniting industry experts, legal scholars, and policymakers.

This premier conference acted as a melting pot for innovative ideas, insightful discussions, and networking opportunities, where stakeholders exchanged views on the dynamic landscape of corporate law and governance. Notably, 60 research papers were presented, the outcomes of which are slated to be submitted to the Union Governments as recommendations.

CS Manish Gupta highlighted the importance of such conferences, stressing the synergy among industry, academia, and regulators to revamp corporate laws for the betterment of stakeholders. Additionally, he shed light on recent institutional endeavours and advancements, including hosting the 23rd UCSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance in New Delhi, graced by Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha.

ICSI's expansion includes inaugurating its 3rd Centre for Corporate Governance, Research, and Training (CCGRT) in Kolkata, along with hosting international conferences and launching initiatives like the ICSI International ADR Centre, aimed at streamlining the judicial system.

Looking forward, the institute aims to establish its first ADR Centre in Hyderabad by March 31st and expand this initiative to cities with robust infrastructure. Additionally, with overseas centres in UAE, USA, UK, Singapore, Australia, and Canada, ICSI aligns with its vision of being a global leader in promoting corporate governance.

Transforming from a male-dominated institution at its inception in 1968, ICSI now boasts a balanced 50:50 gender ratio. With 72 chapters across India, two research wings, 71,000 members, and 2.5 lakh registered students nationwide, the institute's reach extends globally, including collaborations with various universities and plans to engage Telangana-based institutions like Kakatiya University and Osmania University.
